What IS SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION?
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a permanent cosmetic treatment that can mimic a hairline or add density to a thinning crown with pointillism. Small dots called impressions are layered on top of each other in the upper layer of the dermis in order to create a five o’clock shadow on the skin. The impressions once healed offer a realistic staggered hairline and the appearance of a thicker head of hair. We can create a more robust hairline in four sessions. A single use needle, diluted ink, and patterns are used to create a natural gradient on the skin which is undetectable due to thousands of hours of practice from a licensed practitioner who has studied SMP techniques. Hair Loss can be attributed to a list of various issues such as genetics and or hormonal imbalances.
